The company was founded in Taipei for unique reasons. Taipei is a diversified and inclusive city at the forefront of the world, and OFD, located in the midst of this beautiful coexistence of diverse elements, is able to incorporate the local culture with the city and its historical background, creating a point of departure for the development of its designs. The team has always firmly believed that research is a powerful tool for design because every project has its own unique background. Detailed and in-depth research on planning operations, location, function, and history is an indispensable element enabling us to create projects that stand the test of time. In our spatial planning and pursuit of other design aspects, we seek the active interaction of details, materials, shapes and lighting on the basis of our research instead of simply replicating popular trends and styles.
